Vicky - Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist

“I believe it is important to work with the whole family system when working with children and have worked with families in this way for over 10 years.”

Vicky is an Advanced Trainee Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist and a Certified Theraplay Practitioner. Her therapeutic role started out as a Social Worker, primarily working with families whose children have been adopted. She now practices privately, providing clinical therapeutic interventions to children and families, who have varied backgrounds and family systems.

Vicky has extensive knowledge of working with fostered and adopted children, as well as birth families and has worked with children with a range of different needs within the mental health field including, PTSD, ADHD, AFS, Anxiety disorder, GDD. Vicky combines knowledge of different approaches and can use them effectively, in terms of attachment, trauma, psycho-development, family systemic, behavioural/cognitive. The techniques include, Theraplay, Play therapy, Art therapy and Hypnotherapy and conventional talking style therapy.
