Sian - Independent Reviewing Officer

Hi, my name is Sian and I am an independent social worker who has always worked in social care settings with children and young people and their families, both as a practitioner and manager.

I have worked for both the local government and the voluntary sector; this has included managing fostering and adoption services, a leaving care service, and a residential service for children with complex needs including learning disabilities.

I am particularly interested in how foster parents can support children who have experienced early childhood trauma and attachment difficulties to recover.
