CFC Carers & Young People Meals

This year, CFC had the pleasure of hosting two wonderful Christmas meals, one in Gloucester for our South-based community and one in Lancaster for the North. These events brought together our carers, children, and staff to celebrate the season in festive a atmosphere.

Festivities in Gloucester

The Gloucester celebration was a heart-warming occasion where the young people, aged 4–17, enjoyed a traditional roast turkey dinner followed by festive activities. The children took part in a gingerbread house decorating competition, showcasing their creativity, and later participated in a lively Christmas quiz.

Rae, our Support Work Coordinator, shared her experience: "I was having a great time with the children, although I didn't get to spend much time with our carers, from what I saw, everyone was having a really fun time!"

The event was filled with fun, laughter, and a great sense of community, ensuring everyone had a memorable time.

Festivities in Lancaster

The Lancaster celebration was just as memorable. The young people participated in a range of activities, including games, crafts, and bingo, while carers and staff took the opportunity to connect, reflect on the year’s events, and enjoy each other’s company. The evening offered a wonderful mix of activities and shared moments, fostering a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

We would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to making these events so special. We have received several messages of appreciation from carers, which means a lot to us.

As we reflect on this year’s celebrations, we look forward to continuing this tradition and celebrating together in the years to come.

From all of us at CFC, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
