Community Foster Care's 2021 Residential Trip to Conwy

Our long awaited (thanks Covid) residential trip was finally able to happen last week during half term. Fourteen of our children and young people hopped on a bus from Gloucester and into a car from Lancaster to make the trip to Conwy in North Wales.

For three soggy days we went rock climbing, orienteering, played team building games, built survival shelters and fires and took on an outdoor assault course. Highlights included making hot chocolate over our outdoor fires, walking down to see Conwy Castle and just spending time with and getting to know each other better after so much time apart.

The hostel kept everyone well fed with pasta and meatballs, curry, sandwiches and plenty of crisps and sweets!

As you can see, there were some surprise super hero appearances much to everyone’s delight (thanks, Sarah’s virtual reality app!)

Our Business Support Officer, Sarah, said “It was great to see the children and young people having such a nice time after missing out on the residential last year because of Covid.”
