If there is one thing we really missed because of the pandemic, it’s getting together face to face, so it was really lovely that our (usually) annual barbecue was able to go ahead last month in Gloucester.

It’s in our name, community spirit is so important to us at Community Foster Care. Fostering is a tough job and our foster carers need good support networks, so more real life events are very much on the horizon.

In true British fashion, the torrential rain could not hold us back from burgers and hot dogs. With the help of a variety of gazebos, staff, foster carers and our children and young people gathered. Our behind-the-camera staff member, Sarah A said of the event “It was a great atmosphere, not even the rain could take away the smiles on people’s faces! It was really nice to get out and actually socialise with everybody!”

Take a look at some of the pictures below!
