How long will it take to become a foster carer?

It could take up to six months to be approved as a foster carer. Once you get in touch with us, a social worker will come to visit you and your family at home. You’ll be able to ask as many questions as you like about fostering, about us, about foster carer training and support, and about types of fostering that may suit you best.
