Do I have to transport children to school?

Yes. Local councils expect foster parents to transport children to school, like all parents. The fostering allowance includes money to cover transport to school. Only in exceptional circumstances are other arrangements made. In these circumstances there may be a deduction in the fostering allowance to assist in covering the cost.
