05 - Training and Approval

You’ll work towards The Therapeutic Fostering Qualification to gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed as a foster carer. Once approved, you’ll be ready to welcome a child into your home.

If you are looking to start fostering in Wiltshire and want to learn more about fostering with a charity, please do get in touch. Our Royal Wootton Bassett office covers North Wiltshire, Swindon, Trowbridge, Devizes, Calne, Chippenham, Corsham, Devizes, Melksham, Marlborough, Lyneham and the surrounding areas, including Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset.

Community Foster Care has four offices which are open between 9am and 5pm each weekday.

We also provide an out-of-hours service from 5pm until 9am the next morning for foster carers to contact us for advice and support. This emergency service is also available at weekends.
